Here's a sneak peek of beautiful baby G. Her parents flew me out to Nebraska for her newborn session. It was pretty cool to travel to Colorado and rent a car. I got to see Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. A little back story, a client who used to live in Richmond then moved to Nebraska told a friend who loved my work and flew me out. Little Miss G was just perfect! She was so tiny about 5lbs and we got to use a lot of the parents props since i wasn’t able to travel with a lot.

She's simply the sweetest thing ever!

Darling newborn baby S. 9 days new made her appearance in my studio recently... she even brought along her two big brothers who I also photographed as a newborn.

I hope you enjoy a peek into her session. I love to photograph growing families. I try and photograph siblings and parents first then concentrate on the newborn. The studio gets very warm so be prepared. I have a few puzzles and toys for the older siblings to play with while I photograph their new baby sibling. If the other parent wants to take the older siblings home or back to school that is also an option.

This little one had me working for these images but you wouldn’t know it from the perfect little images.

Photographing newborns is my passion. I used to be a doula and have witnessed over 86 births. I am very comfortable around babies and have had many safety training. One of my favorite parts of photographing newborns is the opportunity to capture their innocence, beauty, and vulnerability. The typical newborn session takes place within the first two weeks. However, it's never too late to capture the beauty of your newborn baby.  I have been a photographer here in the Richmond, VA area for 10 years..  I love to photograph newborns and babies this is my specialty and I am completely comfortable and confident when working with "older "newborns.  

This beautiful little girl was 3.5 weeks old for her session and we were able to get a variety of poses, set ups, etc.  Those chunky cheeks are the best!

Mom wanted a simple cream/white session for her sweet little girl. We also incorporated flowers and Moms wedding dress in some of the poses. Big Brother was a so good with his little sister considering he is still a baby himself. Mom also wanted more lifestyle instead of posed for their family portion of the session. The light in their basement was perfect. I brought the studio to the comfort of their home. I clean and sanitize everything after each session. These are a few of my favorites from her session.

I love when families come back to me to photograph their second, third etc. babies. I photographed little D. his first year using the Grow with me package and the family booked the same Grow with me package for their little Girl. She was born on Christmas Day which is really awesome. She slept for the last half of her session. I brought the studio to the families home. Everything i use is cleaned and sanitized after each use. I wear a mask and make sure that everyone is healthy before we begin. Mom picked out creams and pinks for little P. newborn session. Newborn sessions are best booked before baby is 14 days old so that the baby will sleep and like to be posed . These are just a few of my favorite images from the session. We love photographing newborn babies, so when a twin photo session happens, it is twice as nice!

Twice the snuggles, twice the piggies, and twice the love. It’s absolutely amazing to witness how a child’s personality develops right after birth and in the early days of life. Newborn twins are gifted with such distinctive personalities right away, and we love to capture those little differences. With newborn twins, we also make sure to take individual shots so that Mom and Dad can see all the tiny special details inherent in each baby.

One of our biggest goals with twins is to photograph with the least amount of interference possible, so when they snuggle right up with each other and calm one another, it makes our job twice as wonderful.

Safety and comfort are the most important things when it comes to newborn twin photography and with any newborn session. We treat each and every baby as if they were our own, every single day. You can rest assured that your precious new twins are in the safe hands of one of the best newborn photographers in Richmond.

We take every precaution to make sure all the props, outfits as well as blankets are cleaned an sanitized after each session. I wear a mask and wash my hands before i touch a baby.

Newborn photos after a NICU stay call for a few precautions but are definitely possible. A baby’s safety comes first and it’s important to know if there baby has any restrictions on poses or activity , it’s still possible to get beautiful pictures. There are plenty of options! One plus is that parents had plenty of time to observe and handle their babies. They are the experts in their baby’s preferences. Don’t be afraid to tell your photographer what your baby likes and doesn’t like you know them best.

I come to your home for the newborn session. That’s always a plus with babies who are preemies or who have spent some time in the NICU . Staying home means fewer germs to expose them to. I’m always careful to be healthy when photographing babies, and to wash my hands before touching baby and sanitizing equipment after each session.

Little P. was born at 33 wks old and i photographed him when he was 5 wks. He was a great model and loves his tummy time. These are a few sneak peeks from his session.
